Phone Compatibility Check

Use this online quick check tool to see if your phone is compatible with AT&T or T-Mobile carrier and on which technology (2G, 3G H+, 4G LTE). You will need to know the exact variant of your phone. Note that even if your phone is compatible, it always need to be unlocked to be used with any carrier.

About 2G: Since January 2017, AT&T has shut down his 2G network to release more bands for 4G and future 5G. Therefore your phone needs to be at least 3G compatible with AT&T.

Partially compatible: This means you will get signal where carrier’s antenna runs on your phone supported bands. If you plan a road-trip connectivity may be variable.
Check the incompatible cities list with T-Mobile.

2G / EDGE: Enough for calls & texts. Internet will work very slowly.
3G H+: Suitable for most usage such as GPS, email, photos, videos, social medias…
4G LTE: Better for live streaming and heavy video usage.
